Our work from the EDSAFE AI Alliance policy labs is helping us understand what a template is to get started in district teams. And so, in line with our pledge to open science, we are publishing our first resource - a quick guide roadmap for starting this work in your district. We developed a guide for school district admins seeking to build organizational capacity for responsible and SAFE AI implementation with the following objectives:
Discuss the current state of AI readiness within the district
Identify potential applications of AI across departments.
Develop strategies for building staff capacity to understand and use AI ethically
Establish processes for ensuring equitable and safe AI implementation
Create a plan for ongoing evaluation and improvement.
